303 ArtWay Receives VisionZero Grant Funding to Address Safety and Mobility Concerns in NE Park Hill

WalkDenver, in partnership with the Denver Department of Public Health and Denver Public Works has announced the winners of the Vision Zero Community Program. Seven projects were selected and will receive technical and financial assistance from the city and WalkDenver. ULC along with our partners at Radian have received $7,500 from Vision Zero for the 303 ArtWay.

Vision Zero is a public health initiative from the City of Denver to reduce traffic related deaths to zero by the year 2030. WalkDenver is an advocacy group focused on improving pedestrian safety and promoting walkability in Denver. The organization envisions a future where Denver is the most walkable city in the county. Their current projects include policy advocacy, tactical urbanism demonstrations across the City and collecting pedestrian data to document walkability in Denver’s neighborhoods.

On January 24th, Urban Land Conservancy was awarded funds to support 303 ArtWay tactical urbanism efforts in Northeast Park Hill. The specific location of development have not yet been determined. In the interim, ULC will be working closely with both WalkDevner and our partners at Radian to plan and implement our project. We are very thankful for our partners at Radian, as this incredibly knowledgable team of community designers (with a strong focus on social equity), will help bring our future tactical urbanism projects to life!

We would like to thank WalkDenver and Vision Zero for this generous grant and congratulate the additional six award winners.
