ULC and EnergyLink Break Ground on $3.2 Million Sustainability Improvements at Oxford Vista Campus

On August 27th, Urban Land Conservancy (ULC) & EnergyLink celebrated the launch of the $3.2 million sustainable energy capital improvement project at Oxford Vista in Southeast Aurora. Previously the Excelsior Youth Center, Oxford Vista is a 31-acre campus serving as the AmeriCorps NCCC Southwest regional headquarters.

ULC has partnered with EnergyLink to provide turnkey engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services, utilizing the latest technologies to create a sustainable campus with the main campus’ electrical system expected to operate at net zero in the first year. Sustainable improvements include a complete mechanical system replacement design, a lighting retrofit to upgrade the campus to LED technology, the installation of a fully integrated building automation system (BAS) and a partial roof and window replacement. The campus will also incorporate a geothermal system and 440kW solar array.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the groundbreaking ceremony, stay tuned for future updates as the project makes progress!
