Why it Matters

A Nonprofit Hub Powered by Sustainability

The campus is home to multiple nonprofits; they offer programs that promote safety, health, economic independence and more. In 2019, ULC added $3.3 million in energy efficiency upgrades, including a 430-kW solar array and a geothermal heating and cooling system. The campus will eventually operate at near net-zero electricity.

Backstory

From Legacy to Opportunity

Formerly the Excelsior Youth Center, the campus was donated to ULC in 2018 in an effort to keep community-serving uses at the site. AmeriCorps Southwest Region is headquartered at Oxford Vista, leasing 74,000 square feet of space and hosting upwards of 300 young adults for job training annually.
