WHY IT MATTERS

Walnut Flats

Walnut Flats is a 1.4-acre property at 38th and Walnut, and is located on RTD’s A Line connecting downtown and Union Station to Denver International Airport. Medici Communities built 66 permanently affordable apartments (Walnut Flats) which are held in ULC’s community land trust to ensure permanent affordability. ULC acquired the broader property in 2011 with the intent to deliver affordable housing close to transit, to ensure lower transportation costs for households.
