Justina at Five Points
The former Brunetti Lofts building at 26th and Larimer in Five Points has 23 affordable apartments for households earning 30-60% of the area median income. Longtime owner and operator Volunteers of America (VOA) put the building up for sale, and ULC purchased it in 2025, seeing an opportunity to preserve affordability in a Denver neighborhood that has experienced dramatic increases in housing costs. The majority of apartments are three-bedroom units designed to accommodate larger families, which can be hard to find (and afford) in Five Points. In 2026 ULC renamed this family-friendly building to Justina at Five points to honor Dr. Justina Ford, who delivered an estimated 7,000 babies in her career and who was Denver’s first female, Black doctor.
