The Cole Neighborhood in Denver is home to many community assets including the Tramway Nonprofit Center, a space for nonprofits and mission minded organizations, and Wyatt Academy, a top rated school ULC has partnered with the Cole Neighborhood for years, and is developing several permanently affordable housing communities.
Randy Shaw is an attorney, author, and activist who is a true pioneer in creating innovative housing opportunities. Shaw is the Director of the Tenderloin Housing Clinic, San Francisco’s largest provider of housing for homeless single adults. He is also the author of Generation Priced Out: Who Gets to Live in the New Urban America, in which he features ULC’s unique land trust model.
With the help of the Steering Committee and local community organizations, a community priority survey was distributed in March of 2020 to inform the design and engineering of specific projects along the route.
Fifty years ago today, the first Earth Day took place to demonstrate support for environmental protection for our planet, and ULC is tangibly taking charge to reduce our environmental impact.
