Established in 1989, EOC was formed on the belief that everyone deserves affordable access to the vital resources that power our homes. Partner Spotlight of the Month: The Fax Partnership

The Fax Partnership (The Fax), a 501(c)3 organization, enables the East Colfax Corridor to continue growing as an equitable, transit-rich, thriving main street with a diversity of housing and neighborhood-serving businesses. Through community partnerships and collaboration with the local government, The Fax is working to create a healthy mix of affordable and engaging places for people to live, work, and enjoy life.

One Year Later: What I Hope We’ve Learned

The pandemic has provided a glimpse into what many Americans (and communities around the world) deal with on a regular basis—a never-ending pandemic of inequity, poverty, and oppression, and it’s clear that ‘normal” must be different moving forward. Here are six lessons (not listed in order of importance) I hope we take to heart—ones that could facilitate significant, lasting change.

Villa Park Community Spotlight

The Villa Park Neighborhood is located in West Denver, about three miles west of Downtown Denver. It is chiefly composed of single-family homes with some apartment buildings and townhomes. The neighborhood has access to parks, trails (including the Lakewood Dry Gulch), highways, the RTD West Line connecting Denver to Golden, and beautiful views of the city and mountains. As many Denver neighborhoods continue to become more less affordable, ULC has made an effort to create additional affordable housing opportunities within Villa Park.
